@EVP you say that, but I’ve applied for multiple creative team positions with a male creative partner where we were quoted different salaries for the same team hire. So while you’re right with those points, it also is sometimes as blatant as this.

If you make it to interview they know you can do the job - your resume skills/experience match. So at that point it has not so much to do with resume and recommendations. Interview is for culture / personality match. I truly doubt they aren’t getting hired because of their gender.
yeah, this is helpful also didn't know that the pay gap was that much but thanks! More so the personality match i;d say cuz teams are v critical of who they bring on these days (which is crutical tbh)

How old are you and what is your skill set, degrees, etc? If you are over 50 and male good luck on the job front. If you are over 40 and female good luck on getting anyone to look at you. Why, because they done want to pay you what you're worth. How do I know, I have been job hunting for over 3 years, sent out hundreds of resumes and have had a total of 5 interviews, only 3 were legit and the others were scams. Unless this changes it will still be a problem.
Maybe the new client likes a certain personality/background, or your 2 frns don’t ladder up well under the current Sr. account team. Maybe the job went to another guy who is the cousin of the CCO. Maybe they’re asking for more money than the woman applying 💀
