Our lead just created internal Friday meetings starting at 5pm. Is this normal? They are scheduled for 30 min but usually end up being several hours, and there is no way of knowing how long they will be. I am always done with all my work by then and nothing gets accomplished. At my old company (much bigger) we had late meetings Monday-Thursday but generally no meetings after ~4pm Fridays.

Need suggestions on giving notice. I've been at my small firm for almost 3 years, and I've expressed interest in making partner in the past.
