Which one of the two has more long term monetory benefits/growth? Working as a product manager or working as a software developer. I need an honest opinion.

At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. I believe I'm on track to promotion in the next year. So, I could put in a year of full time school to check the box off, but I'd be sacrificing hobbies and social life (not to mention cost). Is this FOMO or is there real opportunity here?

I am looking to change my career from agency to product marketing or management. Are there any tips or anyone I can talk to consider making this transition? Thanks!

I’d to get a job in a small architecture firm or work for a developer to help build up my network. For the past 6 years I’ve taught high school architecture and engineering and done real estate on the side. I have an industrial design degree and tremendous construction and real estate sales knowledge. I also started architecture school but stupidly switched to industrial design. I don’t want to go back to school for architecture. Ultimately, I want to own my own company developing real estate.

What have you found most helpful in training up a very green junior brand planner or junior strategist? Any particular trainings or resources that are great at teaching foundational skills? I’ll be pulling them into projects and teaching through doing but I need some assistance in building up their core skills/training the strategy muscle.

Which practice group (m&a, capital markets, or funds) would be best for someone who genuinely doesn’t care about this job/law but wants to stay in biglaw (NYC) as long as possible? Some folks say m&a is more “intellectually stimulating” and I wonder, for that reason, perhaps capital markets might suit me? Outside counsel has been prepping company witnesses for a trial in August. It is my subject area so I am supervising outside counsel. I did not, however, choose the counsel. He is doing a really awful job. Co counsel is better, but not great either. Higher ups love the firm… I do not want to micromanage, but I have genuine concerns about outside counsel’s ability to try this case. Trials are rare, and I just don’t think these guys have actually tried many cases. Cont. below…
