Which one of the two has more long term monetory benefits/growth? Working as a product manager or working as a software developer. I need an honest opinion.

First you should know your self. Where u want to be?.

Most of us starts with Software developer / development domain. But this domain will have to be expended to a specific role. I.e.

Technical Architect
Solution Architect
Functional Architect
Product Manager
People Manager
Customer Success Manager
Solution Consultant

Software Developer, you can be life long but at one point of time (approx 7 years later), you will have to move one of the above mentioned roles.

You are comparing completely different levels.

Stick to the stuff you are good at.
If you like programing, data science, testing you can scale up to technical Architect or something similar to that.

But if you are good at creating/managing product, process, people etc... You can go for product/program/project Manager roles. But it would take a while for you to reach there.

Hi guys! Im here for all your expertise again! I am planning on enrolling in 4 courses for Jan 23 for my graduate degree and will need to secure an internship for Summer (I am an international student) I am aiming for data analyst roles and would like to know should I choose a course that teaches python (it is more challenging and would require around 6-8 hours/week) or a more manageable course which teaches tableau (3-4 hours/week). Which of these two courses will have a higher ROI?

I need a change so badly I’m on the verge of tears almost every day. I’ve invested so much preparing for this career. I know I have so much talent that’s not being utilized. I feel stifled and stuck. I don’t need the health insurance but I’m terrified of giving up financial security. Any suggestions in NH for a sp ed with a MS in ed tech integration and a CAGS in Ed leadership. I am driven by identifying systems and creative problem solving and also have a background in art & design.

Can anyone at a company like Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, etc tell me about the breakdown of a Recruiters job? For example, when I worked in agency recruitment, it was 100% sourcing. Working for a healthcare system now, it is more about the candidate experience, much less sourcing, and focusing on the candidates who do apply (thankfully we have a great reputation).

Being that most corporations have dedicated sourcers, I was interested in learning more!

I work in the interactive group at my agency. I had a chat with my CD today and said I’d like to move to another account soon. She asked what I’d want to do and I replied that I’d be happy on consumer goods, healthcare, banking, etc. She stopped me and said, no you need to decide if you want to be UX, a long form writer or other specialty. She said there’s no such thing as just being a “copywriter” any more. This sounds nuts to me. Is this an interactive thing? Have I been in this biz too long?

In the restaurant/hospitality space, what should be expected in moving from a single-Market leadership (Regional) role to a Director of Operations role where all Regional leaders are reporting into you?

Capacity and scope will increase from four locations to 20 with an AUV of approx $2.5M, scaling to grow at a pace of 5-7 new locations each year.

Is there a range for all-Brand Director of Operations roles, and/or what should that increase to the next level look like?

Is it wrong to not want a promotion? Ive been told I’m on track for one soon but I still have sooo much to learn at this level and I don’t feel ready to move up. I am, in fact, terrified of the next step and the responsibilities that come with it.

Has anyone turned down a promotion and regretted it? Been glad about it?
