This. 80K is terrible for a senior in NYC. If it’s an opportunity to buff your portfolio that’s a silver lining. If it’s bad all around take it but keep looking and remember that you don’t actually need to put every bit of experience in your resume.

$80k is obviously incredibly low for Sr.

Grab it if it’s offered but keep actively looking and jump ship if you land something better.

If that agency cared about loyalty they would’ve been competitive in their salary offering. Especially since they’re no doubt billing the role to the client at $115K and pocketing the difference.

How much has stock options changed anyone’s life here? Just started at amazon and I received 1500 shares post split. But obviously the vesting schedule is so long over 4 years and morale certainly will be up and down. I feel I’d be crazy to walk away before then and miss out.

I am the junior attorney at a small PI firm (5 lawyers). I love my job and my firm, the partners, and my colleagues.

I have another opportunity that is important to me, so I'm planning to step away.
