The layers of deception in your article and post are significant. This the little boy who was abandoned by his father in the cold in MN and the agents took hours with him trying to console him and cheer him up. The dad is a horrible person on many counts. It’s amazing that he is able to stay with his dad and shame on the judge for holding up the deportation to allow them to get back home.

Bringing up asylum is a red herring because both are ineligible for asylum based on current laws, so he entered illegally and this process in known by these yellow journalists at the HuffPost but they pretend otherwise. He had to apply at the border after being denied in Mexico first and he did not do so. Like in the vast majority of the “asylum cases”, they enter the country first and don’t claim it was for asylum until after they have been caught.

This is disingenuous on your part, or yet again you were ignorant of the facts of the case. The poor kid probably got sick from when his dad left him in the freezing cold combined with the stress of being abandoned.

Of course, Joaquin Castro jumped at the chance to grift and take a photo op. That guy and his brother are race baiting opportunists.

Here’s another source. The child was taken after coming home from preschool while his father was in the driveway. Maybe the random Twitter post you were getting your info from got him mixed up with another child taken by ICE.

Great point, Cali. The media is clearly distorting the issue by choosing to only report “victims” when it is an illegal alien or their allies in the insurgency and ignoring or underreporting violent crimes committed by illegal aliens or the violence of the protestors.

I worry that we are in a similar mass psychosis episode to what we observed with so many people during COVID.

"It's a civil matter" .A country gets to decide who comes in its borders. It's a national security matter. You change behavior when you don't enforce the law. Now behavior is being changed because it's enforced. You have a misplaced compassion on who the victims are. Those who came illegally need to go. Due process ? Where was their due diligence of following the law when they decided to cross illegally ? You don't like when immigrants are being kicked out but you were silent and saw illegal immigration as a white/ western reparations for imperialism or colonialism and you felt better and didn't bear the cost of such a virtuous signal to open the flood gates and support the caravans. You don't want anything done about the upwards of 50 million illegals in our country- you don't want MN to allow ICE into their prisons or review their voter rolls and you want to abolish all federal enforcement because a 5 year old is a victim of their parents' decision to be economic migrants and disregard how that impacts their family. Your histrionics and cluster B outrage posts show you're unable to reason clearly on any issue you get emotional about.

Not disingenuous at all. The information in the article is consistent with other reports in the public domain about Dilley detention ctr.

“Unfortunately, Liam’s health is not doing great right now,” said Stenvik. “He’s been ill. I’ve been told he has a fever. So I’m very, very concerned about his well-being in that facility.” The treatment that these people are suffering under right now is worse than those that are accused and sometimes even convicted of crimes,” said Crockett, a criminal defense attorney who noted that federal officials told her that no one detained in Dilley was accused of any crimes beyond immigration offenses, which is a civil matter.

Ramos’ mother addressed his deteriorating health earlier this week: “Liam is getting sick because the food they receive is not of good quality,” she told MPR News on Monday. “He has stomach pain, he’s vomiting, he has a fever and he no longer wants to eat.” Ramos and his father, Adrian Alexander Conejo Arias, are being held at the South Texas Family Residential Center in Dilley, Texas.

This is despite Arias entering the country legally and having no criminal record, according to Prokosch. Late Tuesday, a federal judge temporarily blocked federal immigration officials from deporting Ramos.

The conditions at the Texas facility where Ramos is being held are “absolutely abysmal,” according to attorney Eric Lee, who represents other families being held there.
“They mix baby formula with water that is putrid. The food has bugs in it. The guards are often verbally abusive,” Lee told Minnesota Public Radio on Monday. “One of my clients had appendicitis, collapsed in the hallway, was vomiting from pain, and the officials told him, ‘Take a Tylenol and come back in three days.’”

Texas Tribune;

“The treatment that these people are suffering under right now is worse than those that are accused and sometimes even convicted of crimes,” said Crockett, a criminal defense attorney who noted that federal officials told her that no one detained in Dilley was accused of any crimes beyond immigration offenses, which is a civil matter.”

“Children as young as newborns are being confined for weeks and months on end, often with no explanation beyond bureaucratic shorthand,” said Robyn Barnard, senior director of refugee advocacy at Human Rights First, an international nonprofit”.

“We have found no evidence that ICE is even reviewing the length of detention for children to ensure compliance with their rights under the Flores Settlement Agreement,” Barnard said.”She said families detained there have poor drinking water, food and hygiene conditions and are forced to sleep with the lights on 24 hours a day. “

The description of the horrible conditions inside of the Dilley detention ctr has been highlighted in many other articles. The staff do not let lawyers have access to their clients, the kids are kept locked down, the food is awful, the water should not be consumed by humans. And, they keep the lights on 24/7. These are money makers for those who have money tied up in an investment group. Holman is making money hand over fist.

If they separate the child from his parents you complain if they keep the child with there parents in custody you complain. If the child is abandon by there parents and ICE takes care of the child you complain.

Hi all! After graduating with my MBA with a focus in project management, I moved organizations to go from an EMR education manager to a full time project manager specializing in EMR implementation projects. I’ve found that although I enjoy the work- changing organizations and roles in a remote world was harder than I anticipated. I want to be great at my job and I think connecting with others that have gone through similar things could help.

Hi All,

I’m filling out my background check for my Deloitte offer. Is the professional career start date the date I started my job after college or literally the date I had my first job (if it’s in the 25 years Deloitte asks about)?

My security clearance asks for 10 years but nothing before 18, and it seems weird if Deloitte wants to know high school jobs.

Any help would be appreciated!

I'm an SA, and my fiance is finishing up her residency and loves the medical field. I make good money and have a house but I feel like the relationship and the obligations (house, family) are anchors and holding me back from living my life. I want to sell and live on the road, traveling and being free.

I love my fiance and my family but I just want to quit everything and just hit the road.

Fiance does not want that lifestyle. Shes more of a 2-3 weeks of vacation is good.
