A customer called, clearly frustrated. His shipment of commercial freezers had been sitting idle for two days, and no one could explain why. He wasn’t angry—just tired. “My client’s opening a restaurant in 48 hours and I promised this would be handled.” I dropped what I was doing, tracked it down, rerouted the driver, and got it there overnight. The next morning, he emailed: “You didn’t just save a delivery. You saved my reputation.” Moments like that remind you—it’s not freight, it’s trust.

I don't know which company you work for, but if it isn't already, "it's not freight, it's trust" should be made the official company slogan immediately. So memorable and succinct. Good for you for saving the day, and good for the customer for taking the time to acknowledge your hard work. It's a little thing, but it really means a lot.

My husband and I constantly talk about the decline in customer service. It's wild how rare it is for people to actually do their job. Glad you took it upon yourself to make things right. It's people like you who keep this world going round 🙏

That's amazing that you did that and I love that they called you after to recognize what you did. People forget that there's humans doing these jobs and you're not just robots transporting them.

Always love a story with a happy ending. Sometimes, try as we might, it can be out of our control. Things come up, go awry, so nice to have one that actually worked out with the effort you put in.

This story actually gave me chills. Extremely rare to see people who care about their jobs enough to put in this effort. We need more people who are willing to go the extra step in order to deliver for loyal customers. I also love that the customer didn't take it out on you but respectfully let you know how serious the matter was. This sounds like a good interaction all around

You did an amazing job! Sometimes one person going the extra mile is all it takes to build a customer’s trust in the entire company.

You did an interview and your interviewer apologized that the travel time 180minutes was much higher than 30minutes scheduled time for the interview and that It could have been done remotely, but she has to follow the process. I am still waiting for feedback though.

Is this just a humane demonstration?

Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.
