Wondering if anyone can share the approximate timeline after applying to Target Corp. to hearing something from them. Applied 9/1 and on the applicant portal the status still says “in progress.” I got a great internal referral, but I’ve not reached out to the hiring manager. 😬 I know there were a few hundred applicants — what’s a realistic timeline and what could I say to the hiring manager if I reach out to them. Does it seem crazy to you that gambling in most states is illegal but we can buy short term option contracts. It’s crazy I can’t go put $20 on Black at a casino but can buy 5k of a same day spy contract.

Recently started a part-time gig as a Computer Specialist, FT job is in public safety/law enforcement. Working on certs, no degree - Basically I’m looking for recommendations in the Civil Service or government field for IT jobs. My current job has be doing everything from ordering, installing, and imaging computers, to video surveillance installation, to security systems, and managing our networks at local stores. I love my PT job, and want to do it FT. But insurance and pay don’t come close.

I'm in NJ and the bulk of our standards for SS involve learning about NJ. We are piloting a program this year called Studies Weekly. Does anyone else use this? Thoughts? So far, we are not truly sold on it and find it difficult in many ways to use. Does anyone have any recommendations on a publisher they like for 4th grade NJ SS?

Looking for tried and true positive behavior reinforcement ideas for a class that won’t stay on task or stop talking! They talk when I’m talking. They talk when their classmate is talking. They won’t stop talking! I’ve tried consequences but that doesn’t work for this group. I have a handful that do what they are supposed to and want to make them a shining example rather than calling attention to the negative. Please help!
