Unless things have changed drastically from when I interviewed (2017), expect 6 questions. They will range from describing situational experiences in your own life (I.e. describe a time when you overcame a challenge/what are the three most important leadership traits to you) to hypotheticals (I.e. how would you prioritize various work/personal commitments?). Your answer can be as short or as long as you want it to and the interviewers (typically an O6 and an O5) will not provide any response or facial expression based off what you say. You can also take as much time to think about what your answer will be before speaking. The important thing is to project confidence in your answers and demonstrate that you understand every element of the question and answer it fully. Incorporate elements of leadership, service to others, enthusiasm, and some core drive that you can communicate to leadership. Don’t get hokey and parrot the Navy mission statement, but drop in hints here and there when it’s appropriate, about how you’d be willing to deploy/be stationed anywhere they send you. Be personable, but don’t be casual - use sir/ma’am, and be respectful. That’s pretty much it in a nutshell. Good luck.
Wow! Thank you!
