Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase?Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?

I had raised queries to payrole and they have replied with a suggestion to think twice before opting for this benifit.

This June I completed my 9 months at Career Level 12 and Sub Level 3 I.e, CL 12.3 at Accenture Operations. My Annual Talent Discussion and One-on-One with People Lead is complete as of last week.
I have 3 questions now :
1. When can I expect to move to 12.2 ?
2. What is the general hike I can expect ? And when it is reflected ?
3. When will be the variable pay will be paid out ?
Can anyone here help me with this performance cycle part ? I am really confused.

simple, it’s better hiring 10 people from outside at an inflated pay than hiking salary of 100 people internally, more cost savings
That is universal rule for every company. When you will put down paper then you will not be given same package as offered they will stick to 15-10% although your replacement from xyz company will get 50% hike while hiring!

This is the reason why do not aspire for promotion/hikes in the same company. Learn as much as you can and then switch.
This is a culture in IT and consulting companies which is why the attrition rate is so high as compared to fmcg companies. As Consultant 1 said. Learn as much as you can and move on. Anyways these companies don't treat us like humans. They treat us as resources
