Accepted law firm attorney role billed as hybrid. The recruiter and interviewers (partners & associates) confirmed hybrid, flexible, no facetime culture. Just be professional, accessible, and responsive. Received an offer, so I declined a competing hybrid/remote offer to take this one. Three weeks later, on my start date, I'm told new hires going forward must be in-office 5 days/week for 6 months. Turns out the partners voted to create this policy after I accepted. Now I’m stuck & beyond pissed!

I wouldn’t hesitate to interview elsewhere. I’d interview ASAP or contact the other employers bc worst thing they can do is no.

This is a bait and switch. Who knows what else they’re not upfront about. I would also suggest reaching out to the other employer to revive the offer.

That’s pretty bad. They promised hybrid and delivered in-person. I’d have a look-around.

For anyone who receives a quarterly bonus or raise in some form, does your employer start to schedule you for less hours when your raise kicks in, or pull you from a future schedule entirely once you receive a bonus; only to put you back on once the hours you would have worked and earned the amount given are passed? Ie; a part time employee getting $200.00 in a quarterly bonus and then not being scheduled a whole week during a bi-weekly pay period where they would have earned more on the clock…?

Any thoughts on an MBA vs MS Project Management. I was planning on doing an MBA but and MS Project Management seems like the better option now. I will be an international student and was planning on making a career shift into project management itself. Hi Fishes,

Need some suggestions from everyone. I have 4.5 years experience and I was working as contractor in ZS and my CTC in parent company was 7 Lakhs.

ZS were willing to offer me FTE as ZS but at a compensation of meagre 8.5 Lakhs. I tried negotiating but they sticked with this.

How come ZS do that? Why can't they pay more as they generally pay 15+ for 4.5 years experience.

Looking to get advice on two different job offers. I am only concerned about long term career prospects in choosing one or the other. Offer 1: warehouse manager for a beverage company. Offer 2: material distribution manager for an industrial equipment manufacturer. Again, only want input on future opportunities that each might provide. Thanks!

Anyone know when Ch. 7 BKs must close by? Is this changed by when there are adversary proceedings (alleged fraudulent transfers made to a bank for CC payments)? Asking for my friend who is unfortunately involved bc of his parents, who are the debtors (he isn’t a defendant or a debtor in this, but the payments were made to a CC in his name—a CC he didnt know was opened in his name).

Its in Texas, and the initial BK filing was made about 23 months ago. TIA!
