How are you dealing with WFH and small children? I either need to cut my workload or completely disregard my children. I don’t want to be put in the mummy track. This virus is like the mummy trap.
Saw an email coming for EY reopening the India offices from October 4th, but professionals to WFH till December. I hope they never make it mandatory for people to work from office. I stay outside of the office location cities and would never want to relocate.
Starting at Accenture next week and wondering if there are any options to expense work from home stuff equipment as monitors? Thanks!
Any budget friendly WFH chair recommendations? Was looking at a gaming chair, but bad reviews have put me off.
Deloitte is work from home flexible for the foreseeable future. 30-50 percent colocating. What are other firms doing?
Anybody have insights into how Apple is doing their virtual on sites right now during the WFH orders? I am in the process of getting my date scheduled and curious what technology they are using.
What is Ropes & Gray doing with its wfh/flexible arrangement when attorneys do go back to offices?
Any tips on working out before work and healthy eating/weight loss. I switched from OTF after work and got a peloton but have found I am not nearly as motivated. I thought I could work out on my lunch since I am WFH but it’s just not happening and then I’m tired after work plus CPA. My nutrition has also gone out the window so I really need any tips I can get as I just am not feeling good.
I’ve got an offer for a job I think is going to be much more interesting than my current role and significant pay bump. Downside is it’s permanent WFH and I think part of why I’ve got the urge to leave DT is the lack of people connection right now. Worth it?
Any recommendations for a portable second monitor? Ideally something that would fit in a carry-on? Since I’m still WFH, I’m taking a week-long trip to visit my sister. We’ll both be working during the week and I’d like to avoid working only from a laptop if I can.
Moving to NYC next year, and my SO is based in Seattle. He is very keen to spend more time with me in NYC, even suggesting living there while remote working is still a thing. I’m a little hesitant bc we’ve only been dating for 2-3 months and it would feel like moving in tgt. Also not sure if i should be looking for a studio or 1br for more space but at a much higher price tag that i have to pay for. Any thoughts?
If firms go exclusively remote, I have zero reason to remain living near “home office”. Likelihood we’ll shift to that model, and can live wherever?
MERGE is growing and adding full time and freelance talent. Freelance Copy talent with oncology experience and you can work any where in the U.s. Drop me your portfolio and time to connect. My lease for a decent 1BR in LIC was $2350/month. Without the COVID discount, it is increasing to $2640/month. Thoroughly enjoyed living here, should I suck it up and stay? My new role will also be perma remote in NY area so was considering moving a bit more suburb near the area if the rent could be drastically reduced.
My boyfriend is looking for a new job but doesn’t know which industry to work in, hopefully something remote or with offices in a lot of locations. He had a mechanical engineering degree & econ minor from a good school. Any recommendations?
When should I tell my boss/team that I’m expecting? I’m fully remote and don’t have to worry about “showing” at work, but want to give my colleagues ample heads up without jumping the gun too soon
Trying to prepare for a AML audit role in a bank.. What are some typical questions.. Should I just focus on my resume.. Have 4 years experience

Is there any benefit of doing six Sigma, black belt , if you are not actively involved in quality. Also any other skills you guys recommend for better switch
In case you never got to see the New York Times article about air quality in classrooms, I’m posting it here for you. It makes some very important points about creating the safest possible environment for students and teachers. 1. Open windows if it all possible 2. Place air purifier centrally 3. Don’t place fans in a way where the air is pointed at people Have a great year and keep yourself and your students safe! https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/02/26/science/reopen-schools-safety-ventilation.html

Final interview with Salesforce today for a demo engineer position. Any tips? Already made it through the technical portion so feeling pretty good.
What is a standard amount personal paid of time off in consulting (excluding national holidays)? Asking in days per year. Current offer is for 10 but that’s less than my old firm. However this is my first job switch so I’m not sure what’s considered average.
Mask off: Journalist to freelance copywriter. Started working full-time under contract for an agency that won't hire me. I've freelanced for agencies and in-house marketing teams, but I'm always the outsider looking in. I want to transition to a full-time permanent gig. Interviews seem to go well, 2 agencies went to 3 interviews and nothing. I know I'm totally missing something that agency insiders would understand. Would love advice on navigating uncharted territory. Thank you!
What do you guys do when you’re feeling extremely burnt out from work? Been working crazy hours and projects have been bumpy. Could really use a break but got no more vacation days left...
Who has tried the Double tree cookie recipe?

Flying internationally for a wedding from the US (to Spain). Delta looks like the starting prices are lowest but I’m definitely not going to be cramped in economy. How is Comfort+ international? Does anyone strongly advise against delta & have recommendations for other airlines? Thanks in advance!
Looking at leaving big law for a small boutique (I would be attorney 3). Current firm offers 16 weeks paid parental leave; small firm is 12 paid. Is 12 reasonable/enough?
500k at 31 which is great but I still feel like I’ll never be able to afford a house in my area (~1M). My money is pretty much 50% 401k 50% investments.
Lyft vs uber for rewards? Company politics removed, which has a better rewards system? Flying United not delta FYI and have enjoyed the $5 uber cash every 500 points
