If management thinks ai is so smart then show them the reality.
I don’t understand why we need to work super hard and also on weekends sacrificing health and family time just because somebody set an unrealistic deadline.
Remember that it’s ok to not meet deadlines as it’s always negotiable.
Going above and beyond only works if company has integrity and has rewarded other employees in the past when they have gone above and beyond.
My suggestion is: Do the bare minimum and let things delay, and blame the ai .
I hope you are getting generous amount of tokens to spend on tasks. If not ask for the company to pay for more expensive plans to increase your productivity. They should be easily able to pay because of lay off savings
I can completely echo your feelings..been there done that. One of the best thing you can do right now is be interview ready or have couple of offers in hand before acting hastily. Till then be diplomatic, try to push some unrealistic demands but dont be too obvious. I have seen people got fired for having debate about negatives of AI with manager. So be cautious and handle gracefully as end if the day we need peace of mind over unnecessary conflicts

Just imagine...people from meta, Microsoft,google,oracle are asked to leave..people who already worked on AI,people who are above average being laid off.... so what is the point of working so hard anyone can become victim....if people are under impression that underperformers are being laid off then god help them.
I am also part of same boat .I aggressively took resignation desicion and serving notice period for 3 month now .but unfortunately I not get any call for interview so better prepare before resignation.
My condition also same night 3 am and work on weekend too so got burnout due to old temmates backlogs.
As senior member all task given too me after removing them by my manager from team.
