For L5- maybe 200k over their standard 4 year vesting schedule. For L6, you should have been an associate partner equivalent at your consulting firm
How are they hiring APs for $300k TC? That seems low given seniority and how terrible AWS reputation is.
Technically yes. The vesting schedule is 5% (year 1), 15% (year 2), 40% (year 3), 40% (year 4) so if you do happen to negotiate 250K in RSUs, you would get $100K worth of RSUs in years 3 and 4. Don’t forget that this is based on the current stock price, so they will likely give you less RSUs and tell you that “the stock price will go up”
I think it’s super unlikely at L5. For L6 they only offered like 40k per year.
The comp is:
Base pay + sign on + RSU + clearance bonus.
L5 TC is $250k
L6 TC is $325k
Years 3-4 you will make $100k in stock
Amazon assumes 15% increase in value of stock in the RSU amount?? Wow
Well that is all super disappointing
