Any advice for someone looking to transition into a full HR Generalist role from Recruiting. I’m currently a Campus Recruiter with about 5 years of HR experience (Coordinator- Higher Ed). I received my PHR certification in September 2020 and sitting for my SHRM-CP in two weeks. I’m having a hard time transitioning into a full Generalist position.

I'm a Communications major and a Management major. I have a Marketing concentration and a System Information & Business Analytics concentration. I accomplished this in 4 years and will be graduating this semester.

I have experience working as a Business developer and account executive at a start up company in the robotics industry.

Questions:
What type of job should I be looking for?

What type of certifications should i be looking at?

Any over all advice in to my career path is welcomed.

Which offer is better?
€100K per year in Netherlands (with 30% ruling) OR
45000 AED / month in Dubai?

Tech stack: SRE/DevOps/ Cloud architect

Anyone switched from Becker to Wiley and regretted it? I did and though I appreciate the bite-sized lectures, I don't enjoy it as much as Becker. Microsoft is offering me a position of Software Engineer. One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

If a recruiter asks me if I’ve spoken to another recruiter at the company, is it okay if I lie and say no? Or should I just be honest and say yes? I’ve heard of instances where candidates have been ghosted if they say they’ve been in contact with another recruiter. In my case, the recruiter I was in contact with messaged me on LinkedIn and never followed up after our 5 minute phone conversation. I really want this job so I don’t want to mess anything up before getting an interview.

Any recommendations on a dining table that works as a desk during the workday? I've been wfh since covid started and live in a 1 bedroom apartment - my dining table is my workspace. The round shape doesn't work well for typing and it's not really the right height. Ideally if a dining table with a keyboard tray existed that would be perfect but as far as I can tell that doesn't exist :)
