Though there are many HMBradley posts, a search has not helped me answer the following two questions: 1. I'm ready to take the plunge; would someone like to give me a referral link? 2. Trying to understand how to maintain a 20% savings rate if I need to actually use the funds at some point. I understand I need to make some direct deposits before June, and as long as I don't withdraw, I'll qualify for 3% starting in July. It seems that I should also transfer the money I want to save (cont)
Texas 🐠 - what would you consider a good salary at a manager level in Texas? (Austin to be more specific). I’m currently in a HCOL city and I am negotiating my salary for a position in Austin but don’t want to aim too high because of what I’m currently used to and shoot myself in the foot for that. It’s an industry role - middle office.
I just applied for a Delta flight attendant role and my page glitched right in the middle of my application and now it says I’ve applied even though I didn’t finish answering questions. Has anyone else had this happen? So scared it has completely ruined my chances.
Where does Quinn Emanuel post professional/business staff positions? I’ve seen several recruiter contact emails on the website only for associate/attorney hiring. I can’t seem to find any paralegal/analyst/PM jobs anywhere for QE. If anyone knows where they post their positions, it’d be helpful. Thanks.
Is anyone else who is currently unemployed and looking for their next role, slowly running out of steam? I used to get up and reach out to my network, network, apply for roles, redo resume/site, take a few online classes (to stay up to date), staying up to date on design trends etc.. Now I’m just like what’s the point. Then someone posts about thier new role, and it’s not like I’m jealous. I just feel so exhausted, and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. (Not looking 4 sympathy/rude comments)
Hey all, was wondering what kinds of exit ops you've seen from strategy LS consulting into the LS startup realm. I'm looking for ways/places to start my search
Anyone looking to switch firms in public accounting, I’d be happy to discuss opportunities at Grant Thornton and offer a referral! Hit me up if interested.
Has anyone here been able to recover from career setbacks caused by Dot Com, 9-11, or Great Recession economy? Just turned 40 with 15 years of relevant industry experience, and my Big 4 employer brought me in at a level designed for 25 year-olds. Career progression is apparently based on time in role rather than performance, so I’ll have to spend 8 years climbing back to the level I was at pre-recession. Is there another way, or is my career stuck in neutral?
If you made it to onsites and passed it but fail to land an offer is there a way to try and get another offer or accelerated process for another role?
Do FAANGs or FAANG equivalents ever post openings for securities lawyers? I only ever see product counsel, privacy counsel etc… as a current securities lawyer at a firm it’s got me a bit concerned. Looking at you in particular, Meta…
I’m looking to transition into a career in consulting with a company(mbb). Will it make a difference if I end up in a T2 city vs let’s say Nyc or DC? Reason for career change is for more exit opportunities and better career progression.
Hey all- I’m looking to change companies. Ideally to another sales focused leadership role. I have a great track record of success as a Head of Sales — we’ve grown 500% in the last two years equating to $30MM under my leadership and a very lean team (SV fintech). I love what I do but was moved from the Head of Sales to the Head of Growth almost a year ago when our 3rd Head of Marketing left. I am spent doing sales&mktg and want to get back to focusing on leading high performing sales teams!

Thinking about joining a series B startup as a Senior PM. In addition to me, there’s a head of product, and 2 other more junior PMs. How much stock ownership is to be expected in this offer? Ie what is normal amount of basis points?
Anyone with anxious attachment tendencies? Going through a breakup and I keep thinking about how I pushed him away and then am down on myself, replaying memories in my mind. At the end of the day, I think we were a bad match from the beginning and misaligned, but so hard not to beat myself over my anxious attachment during my relationship
I am a perfectionist. I absorb and take personal responsibility for mistakes made by my team. I act confident on the outside but feel like a novice on the inside. I struggle with articulating myself..
I have a total of 20 years of consulting experience, with 15 years of PeopleSoft and 5 years of Oracle Cloud experience. Lately, I've been thinking of moving into Sales. Please advice what's the best way to proceed, as well as if this is something you recommend. I'm looking for better work life balance and salary around 190K. Is this realistic?

My husband is relentlessly trying to get a job in Canada/US but he is getting either regret mails or no response for referrals.
It would be really helpful if there is anyone is hiring for such roles or if you can refer to those roles in your organization. TIA :)

Is a HRPB higher than an HR manager ?
I've been in PeopleOps (mostly focused on TA Ops) for over 9 years now. I've somehow gotten by without a degree in HR or a certification, but would like to get some more education to continue to advance my career. What are your thoughts on PHR vs SPHR vs SHRM for someone with my years of experience and current role as a manager?
I’m regularly told that they’re exceeding expectations but then they get reviews that say they’re meeting expectations on a team full of people that do way less than they do? I’ve actually been told that if there was something between meets and exceeds…I’d get that…but there not, so I get the same average performer raise, recognition, etc.
Is this normal? And is THIS what is triggering the quiet quitting movement? Let me know.
I’m starting a new role as an HRBP in California. Any suggestions on compliance resources when it comes to hiring/terminating and just overall HR? California is it’s own beast and I know I’ll be trained on some stuff but I’d like to come as prepared as possible. Thanks in advance!
Know someone earlier in their HR career that’s looking to get certified. It’s been a while since I originally took the exams and have just recertified since. Which is more valuable or preferred these days…PHR or SHRM-CP?
Looking to learn more about how others determine the correct cadence to advertise for evergreen requisitions or invitations to join a talent pool without over saturating the audience?
I am in the process of finishing up my MBA but considering also getting my SPHR or PHR cert. Is it even worth it or a waste of time and money?
Wondering what y’all would do to help get management from a 1980 mentality onboard for hybrid schedules? My company has a lot of long-tenured leaders, which is great, but they are living in the past with the lack of flexibility, and we’re losing candidates for openings, as well as starting to have more employees quit because we’re required to be onsite, when a lot of our jobs could be hybrid. What do you think could work?
How is everyone transitioning your typical end of the year/holiday events to comply with covid guidelines?
We are a startup, about 75 employees, and are used to holding monthly events. We haven't had any since March and they are missed. We are trying to come up with something.
Hello fellow HR pros! I really need your opinions on HR certifications. I am deciding between PHR and SHRM-cp. I have read just about all there is online comparing the two and can not decide. My heart is telling me PHR, my mother in law (an HRBP) is telling me to go with SHRM, as it’s more widely recognized, more established and a larger network in general. I work for a 350~ company who is growing rapidly through M&A. Passions/interests are compliance, strategic vision, M&A, branding and culture
I am taking the PHR for the first time next month. Looking for tips/strategy for studying!
Good Morning Everyone!
Was wondering if anyone had some insight on this. I was reached out to in regards to a part-time HR Generalist opportunity : 30 hours per week, medical/dental benefits, in the greater NYC area. What would be fair compensation for something like this?

PHR is a great next step it will give you a great broad view of HR. If you want to drill down deeper into data analytics, I would do that after the PHR.
Thank you! That’s what I was leaning towards.
