Analyst at D, was just given an industry offer $15k without bonus over what I am making now. Similar work to what I am doing now with a bit more ownership, 4 weeks PTO, great benefits, 10 sick days, 10 holidays, stipend for new laptop - downside is expected 3 days a week in office (don’t go in now, just travel every so often to client site) ….why am I struggling with wanting to take this offer when D is laying off people left and right?

Does anyone use a brokerage account instead of a checking account? Mine offers a fee free debit/atm card and free checks which I'd rarely use but starting to question whether it is worth maintaining my "big bank" checking account that requires a $1500 minimum balance.

I used to work for Partner A in project financing and made the internal switch to work in Investment Funds team.
One case with Partner A remained, and though I stayed on, it was mostly to advise in Investment Funds, as he had been looping in another associate from his team.
This week I had to send an e-mail about InvF, and he complained to me that he hadn’t seen the draft…how do I respond?

What are Auditors making at start ups/unicorns? Obviously the Software Engineers are the ones making small fortunes, but what about Auditors? Are they granted a good chunk of equity as well?

Is this legal? My spouses company just decided to change their comp structure for account managers. It was base + comm, now it’s commission only but nothing changed, OT commission is the same, didn’t get more points, just took away the base pay and said work harder basically. So now they have to worker harder to get $50k they were already making. (Not a decision based on employee performance, they’ve been crushing it. I think the company is just trying to save money they overspent else where)

Case load= malpractice? Small plaintiff’s firm of 25 attorneys. I was a 2 year associate hired and given 50 active files in pre litigation status. 9 mos later a partner quit and I inherited 45 more. I got up to 105 files. Now I hover at 85 active files in varying stages of pre lit. I asked managing partner for help and was told to settle more claims to lessen my load.
