I’m currently a Project Manager but looking for a career change. I have 3 YOE with a Bachelors, am interested in becoming a data analyst but I feel like I lack technical skills (no SQL experience, but willing to learn!). I take pride in asking thoughtful, purposeful questions so I have considered consulting, but it seems like that’s more for senior leaders. I also have an interest in market research but no professional experience there, just big projects in college. Any thought help - thank you!

Feeling a little lost. Trying to pivot to consulting but I feel like top consulting firms won’t even interview me even though I went to a target school, got a STEM degree, and graduated only 2 yrs ago. Any advice would be appreciated!

I have consulting and tech experience and I’m looking to pivot into tech sales. Does anyone think this is doable and have any suggestions for companies to look into? I’ve found that most JDs require a certain number of years of tech sales experience, but I think I have transferable skills. Also curious if anyone else has made that pivot

What are you doing at work that lights you up? Time just passes by because you enjoy it so much.

I’m currently working as Help Desk in the IT industry and I’ve been doing tech for about 15 years, but I am currently in school and close to graduating with my Associate’s in Psych. Eventually I want to pursue CyberPsych and mix my passion for IT and Psych. The thing is, I hear from many people that you need a Master’s in Psych to do anything in that field. Any A.A’s graduates that can vouch? 🥺

Hello All,
I have a degree in project management but currently not in a PM role. I want to go for CAPM and or PMP but I am currently only in a project coordinator role. Can someone advise me if I work towards a PM certification or wait?

Really rethinking this whole accounting gig. I used to be so passionate about it and wanted become CFO one day, but I’m slowly starting to dread the work and my life. Everything around me has taken a toll. I’ve tried both big 4 and industry and I really don’t like either side, but I don’t know where to pivot to. Part of me wants to drop everything, travel and start my own business but idk if that’s the best thing to do amid recession fears… could really use some advice :/

Any tips for a new scrum master hoping to land a job without technical experience?

How soon is too soon to reapply for a position I wasn’t selected for? I only spoke to a recruiter, but I feel like my resume could’ve been a little more tailored to the job and that I should try again.

I’m peeved as a recruiter called me for a position I really want, said she’d circle back a week later with next steps, and then I get an email saying I’m rejected from their automated system. Is this common practice?

Hi everyone! Curious to find out more about this: Would you be more likely to apply for a job if the hiring process was clear from the beginning? For example if it was stated in the job description? And why?

I’m a Technical Program Manager with 7 years of experience. I’m pivoting from the nonprofit field to tech. Can someone please recommend contract opportunities? I’m noticing larger tech companies are not hiring full time staff until 2023. I currently reside in NYC.

Hello Everyone,

I hope that you all are doing great. Did anyone start at the bottom of the bank and work their way up the ladder?

I have an interview tomorrow for Scotiabank. It is a part time role as I'm currently finishing my business diploma (most probably leading to full time). It is a 25% raise from my current job as a pawn broker.

Looking in transitioning my sales/leadership career into notary and real estate in California. I currently have 18 years in retail sales / multi unit management and working in a National brand.

Is there anyone that can share what companies are the best to work for in real estate? Things to look for in compensation plans? What would I need to get to be a licensed real estate agent?

Anyone have insights to the process of being a notary in CA? I’d like to also scale this to a digital notary.

I’ve been working in marketing/advertising for a few years now, and I would love to move into something internal where I can utilize the organizational, process driven skills I’ve honed over the years in account management. Ive had others suggest moving into a project or resource management role in either tech or corporate construction— wondering if anyone here does that and could chat with me about their day to day.

Advice on how to pivot from finance to product management ? Thanks for your help!
