Although Amazon has instituted a hiring freeze and layoffs are probably on their way, I went through the loop for a security engineer position at AWS. Before I attended the final interviews, Amazon placed the hiring freeze and called me to ask if I wanted to go ahead or cancel my application. I decided do go ahead Right now I'm waiting for their response and the position I applied to changed from "under consideration" to "no longer under consideration". Thoughts?

Any Spotify people here? Noticed there’s an AM role going at the moment in the UK but not sure what experience level it is. For reference I’ve got 6 years in ad sales experience with 3 years management (both in music industry). Would this be comfortable or is it worth holding out for AD?

Providence Health & Services Anyone looking to exit to industry? I’m a former Big 4 revenue cycle consultant now leading the net revenue valuation and analytics at a large West health system with two current openings. One is in the data shop (SQL, cloud migration, Clarity) and the other is on the analyst side (budget/forecast, variance/trend analysis). Offshore team for the grunt work allows us to focus on value-add, including collaboration with our data scientists on integrating machine learning into our processes. Providence Health & Services

I am part of operation transformation and work life balance is great
Would also love to connect and know more about types of projects Healthcare Ops Transformation does. Interviewing for a SC role.
Our HC practice has increased revenue YoY and has exceeded plan.

Just got hired as a M. Coming in as a M from ACN.
No worries around job security. Not many people got laid off, to be honest. Mostly low performers.
Work life balance is entirely dependent on project
Firms were laying off in healthcare? Because of COVID? What clients or projects where negatively impacted for more than a month or two across the majority of their business/portfolio?
I’m getting recruited for that team - I’m curious what sort of projects do they do, it’s not that clear when I look at the website or from the recruiter
Curious, could you give a range for the offer you received?
$120k base? If so that’s right at the top of the bracket. Some SCs make less than that.
Deloitte M in OT. Good practice, work with a lot of high profile clients. A ton of great leaders and practitioners that are more than willing to teach/coach their area of expertise. Only drawback is the practice is incredibly large, and can be tough/overwhelming to navigate where you want to work, who you want to work with, etc. at first.
Where do you currently work? Consultant at D is level 2. Also not uncommon to bring in new staff at the lower level if they have limited experience (1 year or less) at their current level. Assuming you are making more, it’s not a bad idea. Less responsibilities mean you can focus on your project and network within the firm.
Yes and yes. You should take the job.
Great teams and a lot of fun work. I’ve been around for 3 years and still really enjoy it
Curious! Did you have a referral with your job application? Interested in applying and wondering if that’s helpful
Recruiter reached out to me. Otherwise referral would definitely help
Yes referral would be helpful
Out of curiousity, what exactly was the verbal offer if they didn't even provide a salary? Was it just a we would like to extend the job to you and will follow up shortly with a written offer?
I once had a verbal offer with very sparse details and they wouldn't provide a written offer until I accepted. And I had another offer on the table and was in final round with a 3rd. Most bizarre thing ever. Wasn't D though
They provided me the salary with the verbal offer, but it took two weeks to get partner sign off
What's the bonus like at D?
