I have had both!
LV neverfull: it’s indestructible haha. I’ve had mine since 2014 and it looks great. I regularly carry 2 laptops or other heavy stuff in it and it has held up very well. However, the coated canvas ones have become extremely common in recent years and I know that bothers some people.
St. Louis: didn’t hold up well at all, paint rubbed off very quickly and the bag had no shape at all after a few uses. I loved the idea of owning it, but it looked like 💩 after a year of use. I regret not getting a more structured model like Anjou or Artois.
What I’m getting next: I’ll probably go for a LV neverfull in epi leather that’s a bit more discreet, or try one of the more structured Goyard totes

Would recommend Goyard Artois over both options, it’s the structured version of the tote and I’ve used it for work over 3 years (carrying a laptop in it and work travel often) and it’s held up perfectly!
I initially intended to get the St. Louis, until I saw it in the store. I didn’t like how floppy it was for that price point. Then again, it was originally created as a beach tote. I went for the Artois and love it. Structured and much more elegant.
I have the goyard St. Louis and damn it is CHEAPLY made. It’s canvas. I love mine still though and I’m impressed how well it’s held up in the past 5 years (I used it everyday in MBA and work) but truthfully it’s a flimsy bag. I highly recommend you see it in person before deciding.

Can you actually go into Goyard and get out with a Saint Louis so easily?
