We’ve been having safe spaces at work to talk about the recent exposure of Asian hate crimes (I call it exposure because this has always been happening), and while I appreciate the forum and sentiment, none of my non-Asian colleagues seem to care. The perpetual feeling of “otherness” and our struggles in America continuing be unnoticed is amplified even more for me.

Started in public accounting (audit) in January. I’ve been told by coworkers that it’s ok to “not know everything” and “to make mistakes” when you’re starting off but at the same time, I don’t want to push the envelope. My past few engagements have been frustrating because I’m new and my past team members are too overwhelmed to teach. I have also been making mistakes. My fear is suddenly getting laid off because of a scathing performance review (which hasn’t happened yet). Any advice?

Need for travel has been one reason why some of our jobs could not be outsourced to remote delivery & low cost off-shoring. If travel is fully or >50% eliminated, it can be a real threat to management consulting as we know it. So there needs to be an “optimal ratio” of travel to client locations, home office, and WFH, to protect our consulting models. Since we need some face time with clients, and some interaction with colleagues, the optimal balance should be possible. Share your thoughts.

I have 4 offers in pipeline from a month ago, what should I do about them?
I know I should still keep looking for new interviews.

But should I send in a Follow-up to those 4 HRs?

1 of them even told me that they have the offer prepared for me but I don't understand why there's so much delay?

Should I be worried or Is this normal?
