Called the IRS today and rep didn’t “feel comfortable” with identity verification done even though I had the POA & was able to give them my manager’s SSN, DOB, etc. Has this happened to anyone else?

I’ve been told by coworkers that it’s ok to “not know everything” and “to make mistakes” when you’re starting off but at the same time, I don’t want to push the envelope. My fear is suddenly getting laid off because of a scathing performance review (which hasn’t happened yet). Any advice?

Need for travel has been one reason why some of our jobs could not be outsourced to remote delivery & low cost off-shoring. If travel is fully or >50% eliminated, it can be a real threat to management consulting as we know it. So there needs to be an “optimal ratio” of travel to client locations, home office, and WFH, to protect our consulting models. Since we need some face time with clients, and some interaction with colleagues, the optimal balance should be possible. Share your thoughts.

I have 4 offers in pipeline from a month ago, what should I do about them?

1 of them even told me that they have the offer prepared for me but I don't understand why there's so much delay?

Deloitte audit is done with layoffs and rising A2s will be getting raises to make more than incoming new hires as opposed to adjusting offers down.
