Got laid-off in November and started at a boutique firm two month ago and I'm just so bored. Work is boring and there isn't much structure for anything. Missing D today.

Lately, for some reason, I feel like I’ve really hit a wall. I feel no motivation to do anything and constantly procrastinate until the last minute to work on an assignment. Then, I’d stress about doing a bad job and getting fired. This is a vicious cycle and I know that I should seek counseling. But beyond that, what else should I do? Has anyone experienced this before, and how did you get out of this cycle?

Seeing couple of my mgr getting laid off after 15-20 yrs in the same company got me some panic attack, I got nauseated just to think of the instability, and what would I do in 15 yrs to secure a good future? I do not love what I do, but I cannot afford a fancy MBA, or start a CS master degree. no family money, work on visa(so I cannot leave my current job freely and they lowball pay me), saved up to get an condo couple yrs ago and still get some mortgage, 130k in savings including 401k.

I make $84.5k base now, but I’m hourly and made $92k last year.

Offered $90k for a business analyst role, no OT. It’s technically a Junior Product Manager role, but internally it’s in the system as a BA. I’ll be on the product team.

I have zero leverage. I already work there, it’s a promotion. It’s technically a 7% raise from my current base. It’s a fantastic opp, now I can gain experience in Product.

I’m a soon-to-be second year associate who is getting his very first yearly performance review in a month. Any advice on how I should be preparing for that review?
