I’m partners with my husband. We’ve been together for almost 12 years, and creative partners for three. I get to hang out with my best friend, make shit up all day, and travel together on productions. Why is everyone so worried about the idea of being with their partner? It can be chill!
Peggy and Stan did it 😊
I wouldn’t
There have been many creative husband/wife duos in various areas, it's certainly not weird, let alone unheard of. If it works for you, it works. If it doesn't, it doesn't. There is no wrong or right answer.
Me and my gf are in the industry and we've made a promise to not work together. We have other more exciting things to talk about
Sc1 I think that’s awesome first of all, but def curious how you keep work out of the romance? I feel like date nights would be one bitchin about work session after another.
@ACD1: We have bitching nights, and they used to happen a lot more frequently when we first partnered up, but that’s died down a lot since we’ve gotten more senior and checked off a lot of what we wanted to do in it.
I think it helps that we have a lot of interests outside of the industry, and that we work on side projects, both together and separately. Keeps us from going crazy.
@AD1: Husband/husband checking in.
Ufff, thanks for keeping me in cheek, SC1! On that note, my hair stylist and his husband who's a makeup artist are a creative duo and both work with largely same (celebrity!) clients and really complement each other in life and business. That's just one real life example and there are many famous ones, too.
