I highlighted communication and organizational skills along familiarity with teams and zoom. In the end I was offered a fully remote job but didn't actually want that and passed. I didn't find the interview process to be too different than others.
Mention any experience you have working alone. My first remote role, the interviewer still gave me a hard time about it because “you’d still see people in the building” (not really after Covid). If you aren’t familiar with video calls, watch a couple of YouTube videos on using Teams and maybe Zoom, see how to screen share so you can say you’re familiar. Make sure your camera and audio work well and try to have few if any technical difficulties. Practice your computer set up beforehand if you need to.
Otherwise, hopefully they are understanding and don’t care because it’s easy to get used to and I wouldn’t think it would be a big deal. I’m sure you already know all of the above anyway and in that case I think you’re fine.
Where are you applying for remote jobs? There are so many sites and I’m struggling to get hired.
I use LinkedIn, Glassdoor, indeed, remote.co I also go on employer websites as well.
Mention skills such as time management, networking capabilities, organized, flexible and adaptable.
Just checking in, how did the interview go? Did the suggestions help?
