I was laid off this month from a US-based company where I've been a reporter for the past 3 years or so... I live in Europe. I wonder if I'm likely to have luck with other remote-friendly US companies. Or are we already past that?

I wish Ad salaries were like NBA salaries. Each year you get a ridiculous raise no matter how shitty you perform. If you are good you get bird rights and no layoff clauses. And retire at 35.

To everyone working in claims in the entire country! It’s been a minute since I worked in claims. And never for this particular company. But is this shaming the new way to manage WFH.? I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

I’m very nervous because the group with whom I’m interviewing works with life science/tech clients and the attorneys have strong science/tech backgrounds; and I do not.
