I'm currently a third year V100 tax associate and I am interviewing with my dream firm next week. This is my first lateral interview. Other than being prepared to discuss my current and past matters, do you have any tax-specific interview tips?

I find they always throw in a little code talk just to make sure you're conversant. So be prepared for that.

Hi everyone!
I have interviews coming up at BD in Maryland and, coming from the hospital world, I have no clue what salary to ask for. The position is a scientist/quality role for microbiology research and development. For context, I have 4 years of experience in a hospital blood bank and am a certified Medical Laboratory Technologist. I was thinking in the 65-70k range, but the recruiter made it seem like that was easily attainable so I’m worried I’m asking too low. Would 75-80k be do-able?

Maybe I am thinking a few steps ahead as I am still in the interview phase with 3 firms, but how would I go about letting a firm know that I need some time before responding to an offer (when in actuality I want to wait to see if the other company has an offer as well)?

I understand that an offer may take some time, so how do I go about making sure I am giving each company enough time before I answer (assuming I receive an offer from more than one company that is.)

Advice/ thoughts. Interviewing at a tech startup within the construction industry for an enterprise bdr role. Tech startups scare me, although the idea and concepts are super interesting. There’s really no insights on the company but they have a pretty big investor and their exec team is super stellar in regards to their backgrounds and accomplishments. Just curious as to how others would handle this, would you take a leap of faith or stay put?
