Mala Restaurant in Allston makes a really Mala Xiang Guo, essentially you choose what meats and veggies you want into a spicy stir fry. You can make it as spicy as you want, highly recommend

Nirvana (Indian) in Cambridge will make genuinely spicy food with green chillies if you ask them to.
Punjabi dhaba once gave me a chile so spicy I couldn’t taste anything for an hour
There’s a place in Somerville called Sarma. Mediterranean food. If you ask me about what spices are we talking about, I’d have to say “All of them.”
Also, New England food tends to not be spicy. Often when you ask for spicy, you get not so much.
Don’t be afraid to ask for native seasoning if in an ethnic restaurant. Be prepared to hear “Are you sure?” as a response.

Thai basil on Newbury will put you on your ass If you requested very spicy.
Dakzen in Somerville does great Thai street food including some noodle soups that will get you through the winter no problem. Have been yet to find an Indian restaurant here w spicy food though.
