If you are a female educator in a public school in Texas, I have a research opportunity for you. I am a Doctoral Candidate at Baylor and doing a study on the experiences women working in the field of education have had that triggered shame and exploring their resilience to those experiences. This type of show makes some people fall in love and want to be detectives and many are disappointed when they realize that everything is not so fantastic.
It's so funny how many resources they have on CSI, we should do a show that says "unmasking CSI", showing the type of technology that was usually used to solve cases.
I think it's only DNA technology that we use in our department, I've been a detective for over 12 years and we've never used anything like a 3D rendering of a murder and we have no plans to either.
I have seen things that really make me laugh, the only thing that is true in this type of program is the ingenuity of detectives, they are trained to notice things that others do not notice or things that should be normal.
I love watching these types of programs and it's incredible how quickly they can solve a murder case, in less than 3 days they solve a case that in real life would take at least 8 months.
There is a specific chapter of CSI where the detective solves the case using a google earth capture where at the moment the satellite took the photo you can see when they are burying a body, PLEASE.
