Do you avoid going to shows and concerts that restrict use of electronics? I want to go to a comedy show during the week, but there's a disclaimer that they kick you out If you're checking phone/smart watch, etc. I'm also thinking of shows where they put your phone in one of those dumb locking bags

Just don’t check your phone! Nobody will die if you are out of pocket for a few hours.

Please. Chappelle is the only one who can get away with that. Who is it?

Ugh how is he even still around.

Eh depends on the week, how busy i am, how worth it the event is. You have a little irresponsibly out of pocket budget to spend over the year. If you're strategic about when you take little risks you can stretch it pretty far.

My view is that in cases where concerts/shows that run the risk of stampede etc. I sure as hell want at least a phone on me to get help. Wasn’t even thinking about work. They can live without hearing back immediately.

What’s everyone working on these days? Anything fun?

No, I don’t want to “jam” with you on this. Can’t think of anything that I’d want to do any less.

“Jamming” with instruments is a beautifully spontaneous process. “Jamming” on creative is the most agonizing hour of your life just to poke holes in banner headlines that no one will read. 🙃

Which restaurant would you prefer: (1) sometimes food quality is a 100% level (crazy good) and sometimes a 50% (not bad but meh) or (2) a restaurant that is 75% consistently (pretty good food but never a 100% “omg this slaps / can’t find elsewhere”)

Those looking for content, strongly recommend Rebels and Clone Wars series if you haven’t seen them already… I just got into Rebels and it’s excellent. Perhaps cartoon format gives some perception about it, but the story line is amazing!!! Disney has more screen time to explain things… for example I didn’t know a light saber has a knob to change the length, or all the details about inquisitors (which we see a little off in the Kenobi trailer)

I accepted a $115K base salary, 13% bonus, 10k sign on bonus (scientist supervisor) job and two weeks later, got a $135K base, 17% bonus, and 15K sign on bonus (Senior scientist role) offer from another company. Should I accept the new offer ? How do I tell the previous company about this? Also, I’ve already negotiated with the first company and the $115K base is the negotiated salary. I really do not prefer one company over the other. They’re both great! I’m very confused here. TIA🙏
