Those looking for content, strongly recommend Rebels and Clone Wars series if you haven’t seen them already… I just got into Rebels and it’s excellent. Perhaps cartoon format gives some perception about it, but the story line is amazing!!! Disney has more screen time to explain things… for example I didn’t know a light saber has a knob to change the length, or all the details about inquisitors (which we see a little off in the Kenobi trailer)

I accepted a $115K base salary, 13% bonus, 10k sign on bonus (scientist supervisor) job and two weeks later, got a $135K base, 17% bonus, and 15K sign on bonus (Senior scientist role) offer from another company. Should I accept the new offer ? How do I tell the previous company about this? Also, I’ve already negotiated with the first company and the $115K base is the negotiated salary. Are signing bonuses still a thing? For a 7th yr M&A associate in major market / top firm? Not wedded to my current firm and scored a six figure signing bonus a year ago. Wouldn’t be opposed to another large pay day (and ramp down / ramp up hours) now that I’ve passed the claw back period.

Would it be crazy to take off ~3 months to learn a language? I have always wanted to learn a foreign language (but stupidly never committed in college) and know that soon I won’t have the flexibility I do now.
