Your local church might have more consultants than you think!
On my list to talk to my small group pastor about us 80% travelers. No clue how to arrange a virtual small group with my crazy schedule. I am the only practicing Christian at my client. God has me here for a reason; I wouldn’t be doing this for me.
I've found that being a marketplace Christian is tough. I have to put Christ first. Which for me meant going into work a little later, so I can spend more time reading and in prayer in the AM. I also 'came out' at work a few years back and it's been awesome since. I have more freedom now to share my faith, being less and less concerned about what they think. Praise God!
Yeah. I know I’m called to be a marketplace Christian but what does that look like in reality where you work long hours, get engrossed in your work that your flesh manifests rather than godly love and glory
Most Christians are “marketplace Christians,” meaning not in full-time ministry, working at for-profit companies. This was always the model laid out for us in the New Testament. “Go... and make disciples of all nations...”
Make sure you are part of a local church, one that is biblically sound, and that has a service/group that works with your schedule. I’m sure there are other people in that church that work in “the marketplace."
