Hi all,
I joined KPMG around 3 months ago but I am not getting work here. Although, I qualified some project's interview, yet due to some internal reason, they considered someone else, and I again came on bench.
I am unable to figure out what can be done now.
Should I start searching work outside.
(I hardly see any job openings these days)
(sap domain)
How's the resource management here?
(do they lagOff?)
Any inputs will be helpful.
Thanks!

If one has ever gone smoothly, please share the story with all of us. These implementations have more problems/baggage/cost than someone with six ex-wives.
Yes, had almost every one delivered successfully and on time that I was involved with (before slalom). Biggest success factor was at least 3 test data migration cycles plus a dress rehearsal with actual full business validations each time in addition to the usual uat, regression, etc. good luck!
Companies always go with low cost or offshore implementation, nearly always go wrong and it’s up taking 1.5-2x the time scoped out

All ERP implementations are successful especially the ones trying to get to a single global instance

That’s different
If I had a dollar for every successful ERP implementation I know of, I would have like three dollars.
Been on several successful ones, been called in to remediate several failed ones, and been part of one that got cancelled partway through. There are a ton of factors that play, but in my experience key ones are client leadership alignment/sponsorship, client team bandwidth and willingness to make decisions, and (where there’s a big jump in tech capabilities, like moving to Cloud) willingness to adapt business practices based on new functionality instead of a lift-and-shift.

I wonder what you talk about on dates. Cool topic but just a random thought came to mind.

Facts
I have worked on 3, and I would call one a success, with an on-time go-live and hypercare, and satisfied and strong client relationships by the end.
The firm probably considers all 3 successes though, because we got the bag 🤑🤑🤑 even if they turned chaotic and messy.
