Anybody here who has an anxious-avoidant dynamic? How do anxious partners deal with avoidant partners?

I’m avoidant and wife is anxious. If anyone has an answer that would be great.

Yes, I'm the anxious one, and my husband is avoidant. It's more frustrating on my end as he just avoids any tough conversations or confrontations. We just learn to live with it over time as there's no other alternative.

Read the book "Attached" together.

Easy, digestible read.

Note: I have a disorganized attachment from an extremely abusive upbringing. I've been ruining my relationship trying to learn new [everything] and this is one of a few things that was easy to move through. Obviously, the hard part is the work day in and day out, but having material that makes things clear is useful.

The longer we’ve been married (35 years almost 36) the easier our marriage has been in general. We both feel the same.
I know that in the past, in times of high stress we were both pretty avoidant, which wasn’t good. We definitely had some rough stretches when the kids were in high school, etc.
It’s best to talk about it without emotion. That got easier for us as well, communication in general. Hang in there!

Hello!
I'm italian, 26 yo and currently working in France as financial analyst.
Work environment is great, friendly and multicultural but I don't like the job at all.
Personal life is not so nice since I manage to see my family and gf every 30/45 days only. Colleagues have their own lives and at the end we don't hang out much.
My dilemma is:
A) going back to Italy at a lower salary with less growth opps but better personal life or
B) Switching my job here and hold on

What would you do?

Thx! :)

Does anyone know of any remote contract jobs in auditing? Specifically, risk management, compliance or internal auditing? I’m able to work 20+ hours a week. I’m a detailed-oriented person and and a great communicator. I also have a lot of experience in presentation design and enjoy doing those a lot. I would prefer a contract job receiving a 1099 and am not interested in being a w-2 employee. Please let me know if any of you have any referrals. Thank you and I appreciate any tips you can give.

Has anyone successfully sold your gently used clothing for cash on the spot anywhere in Chicagoland? If yes, where? Have a lot of nice stuff that I’m bored of but Poshmark takes too much effort for me and I find consignment stores usually take months until anything sells and then getting your money is a pain. So looking for instant cash. TIA
