Hi! I’m an assurance senior w/ a few engagements under my belt. Interested in moving into industry. Open to a lot of things - internal audit, forensic accounting, real estate or fixed asset accounting, or generally any kind of senior accountant role for an interesting company. I’m in the Philadelphia area - any company reccs?

Also, what should I say my salary expectation is? Already making in the range of $85-88k.

I’m in-house with an opportunity to go back to a big firm. There would be a substantial increase in comp (about $260k all-in currently vs $325k plus bonus potential at the firm). I currently have excellent WLB - that would take a hit at the firm for sure. While the billable requirement would be 1500, the lack of predictability is the biggest drawback, especially with a young family. What would you do??

I work at a small (25 EE) fintech startup and all the departments are looking for software that would help streamline on boarding, have options for continued learning, and career succession planning. I’ve only worked with larger LMSs previously.

I know this is a subjective topic in certain ways, but I would love to hear your thoughts and why are you enjoy the system you work with.

I just started this job as a graphic designer for a small printing company. Since working there, I've already had to perform other tasks besides graphic design. The company is really short-staffed so occasionally "everyone has to chip in" so to speak. I don't mind helping out but sometimes it happens a bit too often.
On top of that, the art department is in the same space as the sales department. So the sales lady is always giving her opinion about how the creative process should go.

I need help making up my mind on where to attend.

So I have two offers on the table : Tuck vs Yale SOM. I am getting 40k scholarship from Tuck and nothing from Yale.

I'm planning on going into consulting afterwards and am not sure what school to attend. I know Tuck's group oriented teaching is slightly more geared towards consulting.

What has been making me hesitate is the global presence of what Yale has in its name.

Would you say Yale has almost equal chance of getting into MBB as Tuck?

I think I bombed my final round today. Was taken a bit aback with a pure focus on numbers so took a bit of time solving it and in the end interviewer skipped one part of a chart cos she had to move on to other charts. The qualitative case part went well I think. Disappointed in myself!
