Just got a call about a 96k base:
/160k OTE role out of Plano TX

I’m intrigued but I want to know 2 things:
1. Culture/WLB - how is it?
2. Realistic market opportunity/opportunity to crush quota (obv dependent on many things)

Background: Currently making 95k/160k OTE at a boutique research and consulting firm. I’m happy but we’re extremely flat with little to no opp for promotion in the next 2+ years.

I’m my partners only associate and I went on parental leave two weeks ago. I feel horrible for leaving him to handle our cases alone, but am trying to focus on my wife and new baby. That being said, should I still offer to handle minor matters that come in to ease the workload off my boss? He’s been super cool during my entire leave, so I don’t feel pressured to one bit.

I’m a certified Health Coach (my training/courses are CCE-accredited by the International Coach Federation) w/ a BS in Psychology. I got a temp to hire starting at $18/hr. It is my first professional health coach job & they did not require temps to have a coaching certification, but I have one. I’d like to know if temps could negotiate salary when given the job offer. HR pros - I have a question for you. I got disappointing news that I didn’t get either of the roles I applied for. I was shocked because the interviews went really well and my experience was in line, if not on the higher end of requirements. I was told that it was my salary and job title expectation. How would you leverage an existing rsu grant of a company that recently IPO-ed when negotiating a new grant in a new place (Series B tech firm).

Assume I have a grant worth of 300 that vests quarterly for the next 18months (in a current place that is already publicly traded)

Would kind of offer grant would you expect from high conviction Series B tech company if you wanted to switch? Would you be good with 1:1 match? would you be ok to get less because potential upside is higher?

What's with the probation period with Deloitte India? What's the rate of termination, if there are any, unlike the other firms (who have a probation but 99.99% of the employees are confirmed at the end of probation).
