What should I do if I want to open my own real estate company?

Just heard back from my manager that I was promoted!! And my manager told me the raise would start from Apr so I should expect to see a bit extra on my pay check. The question is last time when I got promoted, I was told the same thing that the salary was increased before I was being told about the good news. However, I didn’t see that pay anywhere. I emailed payroll but didn’t hear anything back. I wonder how this kind of things go with you girls. Any suggestions/thoughts would be appreciated!!

AITA: we hit a couple of nails in one of the tires last weekend. I put on a spare tire and waiting for it to get repaired.
This morning, when my wife is driving, the tire pressure monitor lights up again. She texted me and asked what she should do like “Should i keep going or what. Idk what to do” and I responded “yes” coz I was in the middle of a work call, assuming it’s a no issue.

So Altman clearly beats out MBB in some sectors and is trying to position themselves as an MBB or perhaps tier 2 equivalent, but they’re just not matching the salaries. Why were Analyst salaries only raised to $95K when my friends at big firms (not just tier 2 but also MBB) will be making $100-120k as second years?

An in-law is in a failing marriage. Her spouse has been extremely crude to her and her kid for several years now to the point where she feels hopeless in getting the love feels she wants and is miserable.

My wife had the idea of me showing the in-law type of love I’ve shown to her (my wife), because she claims the in-law has appreciated what I’ve done for her so far (I haven’t heard such appreciation, however) and the in-law could really use the boost to her self-worth and self-esteem.
