Kauai is always gonna be more wet on average than the other islands but that is what makes it so lush/different. Honestly, you’re probably in for a lot of rain but still should be able to enjoy your time.
It’s honestly great year round, but water is rougher/waves are bigger in the winter
It’s great in December
Rising Star
Usually really fantastic, esp down near Poipu, but there’s always a chance of rains on the northern part of the island. If you embrace that, though, it shouldn’t get in the way of anything. My husband and I were doing a crazy hard hike up near Princeville, and we just laughed as it started torrentially raining for about 20 minutes. There wasn’t anything else to do but laugh, and it’s a great memory.
