Thoughts on kindly asking your bridesmaids to please not give a gift? I am over the moon excited that my bridesmaids will be celebrating me and traveling for the wedding and bachelorette. I really do not want a gift from them at the wedding. Full disclosure, my fiancé and I have great paying jobs and my bridesmaids are grad students, artists, and teachers. How would you frame this? Even if they were millionaires I would not want a gift, but I don’t want it taken the wrong way.

I think it’s pretty simple, just say their attendance at your wedding and any related activities they can join is your gift. Most won’t take it the wrong way.. it’s already expensive AF it be a bridesmaid.

Also if you’re uncomfortable mentioning it at all, ask your MOH to relay the message in one of her emails (“Anna wanted to be sure everyone knew there’s no gifts needed from this group, she just wants to enjoy spending time with everyone” or something)

Alternatively, if you are not already doing so, you could consider paying for their bridesmaid dresses, hair/makeup and/or the Airbnb for the bachelorette party.

Checking to see if there are any wine & spirits label designers here. I have a call with a mom/pop restaurant tomorrow who want a redesign of one of their vodka labels. They have not supplied any hi res art yet & from what I’m assuming they will not be looking to spend big bucks. Im trying to get a sense of pricing for the front & back label. Thanks for your feedback!

My stepmom threw me a very elaborate bridal shower. My stepsister pitched in and also did a lot of work for it. Bridesmaids helped but didn’t do a ton. What, if anything should I do for my stepmom and stepsister as a showing of gratitude? I don’t want to spend a lot of $$ but definitely want to act quickly and thoughtfully.

Thoughts on uneven bridal parties? I would have 5 vs my fiancé having 3 people.

Help- my FBIL is refusing to rent a tux for our wedding because he already owns one. It is a different tuxedo. We would like everyone in the same tux, which I don’t think is crazy to ask for? It’s not a financial issue and it’s not some sort of weird style. 11 other men will be in the rental, it will be obviously different. We’re paying a lot for formal pictures and while this isn’t a tragedy by any means, it is upsetting to my fiancé and I, especially as we ALWAYS go with everyone else’s flow.

I’m excited for my wedding but it’s almost 9 months away and I started planning it over a year ago. However, whenever I’m around friends/family it’s the only thing people want to talk to me about. It’s constant and generally there’s not many updates to give & I’d just rather talk about other things. I work full time & I’m in school right now so I’m stressed about those things and I don’t know how to communicate that I’d just rather not talk about the wedding without sounding ungrateful/happy
