I've been on the bench since August and just got onto a project a couple weeks ago. Have had no real fear of a layoff. I also lead multiple firm initiatives, though, and always get exceptional for people/firm.

Depends on what your utilization and performance was last year. Just be as active as possible right now trying to get staffed, contribute to initiatives, upskilling, etc. In this climate, while it’s rough getting staffed, there is actually some leniency for USDC employees who performed well last year. I don’t really want to throw out an uninformed number. If you can add more context to your situation then could give more accurate guidance, but even then it’s just guesswork (from my POV at least).

I know of someone who was in the bench a MINIMUM of 6 full months last year (likely more), and they were only just laid off sometime within the last week.

To be clear, I found it shocking they made it that long and I would assume they were the exception, not the rule. Because we don't staff ourselves in the USDC model and we have lower overhead to the business, I would say we certainly have more leniency than Core does, but that also has its limits and due to the market conditions those limits are probably being lowered if they have not already been lowered.

Is it norm in Tech Mahindra?

Received an offer letter with joining date of a week from a date of offer release. No discussion about my joining date previously, though they knew my notice period is 2 months. Now, when asked HR about revising offer letter with updated DOJ he says, first give me LWD Letter. How can I resign before I actually get confirmation of DOJ?
Please suggest. Should I resign and wait for them to send me offer?

Do you set up any standards when you date with anybody? I’m currently dating with a Mexican man. He is older than me 10 years old (I thought 6 when we first met). His job is construction and made less than me. He is insecure about the money but I’m not really. But, the one bothering me is that he is illegal immigrant. Other than that, He is a cure, nice and independent guy. When dating, he split money/ or want to cover for me. He cares about people around. I am happy but not sure about LT.

I need a change so badly I’m on the verge of tears almost every day. I’ve invested so much preparing for this career. I know I have so much talent that’s not being utilized. I feel stifled and stuck. I don’t need the health insurance but I’m terrified of giving up financial security. Any suggestions in NH for a sp ed with a MS in ed tech integration and a CAGS in Ed leadership. I was just involved in a Teams meeting where it was announced that leadership is now creating a hybrid model. They clearly stated we will not be returning to the office that we left in 3/2020. This was shocking to me! Earliest back in office now set for Oct. More info to come. I was working from home 2 days a week pre covid, so we'll see what happens. I am in MN.
