Sorry for the long rant, but could use advice or just encouragement.

Got laid off for the first time in my career 3 weeks ago. I have 10 years of PM experience (mostly ecommerce & experimentation). I was fortunate in the past to have had recruiters scout me directly so this is the first time in over a decade that I am applying to everything that I’m qualified for, mostly qualified for, and way over qualified for with zero leads. Only 3 interviews thus far that didn’t go forward.

Any edutech test for the folks on bench in LTI? Any idea on what is that all about?

Over the last couple of months I’ve interviewed for a number of jobs and made it to second and third round interviews but never got an offer. My last interview was on Monday and I got feedback that I did not get selected because it did not seem like I was a a team player. Currently SA at Accenture doing Cloud Advisory, ~1.5 years of work experience. I am currently trying out an MC engagement and am enjoying it immensely, and now I’m daydreaming about doing MBB consulting.

Is this career move from SA at ACN Tech to BA at McKinsey possible? What’s a good way to achieve this? I’ve only heard of people moving there from ACN Strategy.

Just switched firms, in hopes of greener pastures....and I’m miserable. Not totally sure where to head next, debating some non-traditional means of employment/next steps. Leaving my current gig at the end of the week and will need to payback $20k in a signing bonus. Curious if any fish have been successful in asking for some sort of payment plan on this repayment?

Anyone leave before their bonus (before knowing what the amount was) and then regret it when it turned out to be a huge bonus? Got a great offer that I want to take but feeling FOMO by leaving the bonus on the table.

And yes, I tried moving the start date and asking them to cover the lost bonus but they said no and it’s still a better offer and it would be irresponsible not to take it.

Sometimes I feel like I over prepare for these interviews in that I prepare for the wrong thing. Expected to throw down some answers to technical questions and it ended up all being culture and fit related

Where should I apply if I want to exit consulting but significantly increase my TC. Currently ~250k (200k base, 50k billable bonus).

16 YoE; T2 city; background in analytics / data science / AI + strategy consulting.

Don't want to work in MANGA because their goals are uninteresting to me and their practices are pathetic.

Other options?

Would switching from S& to LEK boost, hurt, or not change exit ops to PE/ PE ops/Corp dev & strat roles? Also looking at benefits of not having independence and utilization requirements. Thanks!
