I never have any luck selling on their either
Glad it’s not just me. Then I find myself browsing and I’m like, wait I didn’t want to spend money!
Oh yes! I'm a freelancer and Poshmark is about 1/3 of my income. If you want it for the $$ rather than just cleaning out your closet, then you have to treat it as a business. Learn a niche, learn how to look for those items in thrift stores or on ebay. Spend time learning about how to create the best item listings on Poshmark.
I honestly just want to clear out my closet! I guess I need to be more active on the site on those selling events?
I have sold a few things but I rarely make even closes to what the item is worth. A lot of people lowball and I don't want to haggle/argue. It's not a great side gig, in my humble opinion.
How much would you pay a service that picks up your clothes and stuff and sell it for you and takes a %
I’ve had luck with most items. I only sell a few things here or there. I have a bag out there now that I can’t get rid of. But generally had had good luck with Poshmark or Mercari.
Maybe I’ll check out Mercari
Certain brands sell especially well on Poshmark. Brands like Doen, Ciao Lucia, and Paloma Wool. Small scale designer stuff. I've basically made back 100% of what I spent when selling these brands on Poshmark
I see. The stuff I’m selling isn’t very designer, more mainstream like Ninewest but I marked them for very cheap just to get rid of them
I’ve been doing ok on Poshmark - I’m even signed up for their consignment program and sell for others. Just depends on the work you want to put into it.
I don’t want to put too much energy, I really just want to get rid of things without having to do meet ups or a garage sale
Try offerup. or letgo
