Just do the bare minimum at work while applying to other places. Then quit once you found something you like. But if it's busy season and you can't really dial back at work then yes I think quitting now is worth it to give yourself some downtime and time to focus on finding a new job.
I took a break early in my career to be a stay-at-home mom. Financially, it worked because I had a partner who earned enough, so that part wasn’t a stressor. The hardest part wasn’t the gap itself, but getting back in once my kids were older. It took some time and effort to reestablish myself. A gap doesn’t have to derail your career, especially if you’re intentional about how you spend the time and prepared to talk about it confidently when you’re ready to return.
I did it and took a year out to travel. Definitely worth it, but the job market is seemingly (from what I read) much better here in my part of the UK than elsewhere, so appreciate I had some fortunate circumstances.
