Just signed an offer, putting my two weeks in tomorrow. Anyone have tips in making some “I’m leaving” conversations less...awkward?

Don’t burn bridges, express gratitude to your team and call it a day! I boomeranged back, so glad I wasn’t a total ass when I quit the first time 😂

This is the correct answer

It's honestly not awkward, I'm not sure why people think it will be. You have a better opportunity, you're thankful for your time with the firm, and you wish them the best. Exactly what I said.

Congrats on the new role!

You don’t have to have the convo if you don’t want. Just email HR, complete off boarding, and boom done

like

I would have your exit speech prepared and just repeat it on auto pilot. My first call was awkward because I didn’t have my speech prepared but after I got my story straight it was smooth sailing 😂😂

Please talk to your engagement team leader or manager who you work with in person (via chat) before sending a resignation letter to partners. When you have a call with HR, please say nice things about your team. They will understand your decision and be happy for you. Congratulations!

I’m relocating to the US from an international rotation to work in Galveston. I have never been to Texas and I am trying to find the best spot for my family to live in. So far from reading online it sounds like Pearland is a good option but I have not been able to validate that/ figure out what other options are out there. I would appreciate all advice:
1. Would you recommend living in Pearland?
2. What are other good areas to live in? Safe and would like to be less than 1 hour from Galveston.
