I got through 5 interviews, followed up twice, was told I’d hear back shortly, and then got ghosted.
I got ghosted after SIX interviews. I can accept not getting the role, but that’s honestly just disrespectful.
That’s all pharma these days
Go in through an approved consulting/contracting agency like Myticas Consulting or Actalent. They do this just to prove that they don’t only hire internally and are an EOE. If you’re worth your salt, they’ll try to convert you to an FTE.
Same happened to me before I finally got in. Keep applying and interviewing, use referral links, stay in touch with recruiters and circle back if you apply to another role. If hiring manager offers to stay in touch, email them when you apply for a new role and they may be able to connect you with the hiring manager or someone who can help.
I tried to stay positive that it was a good thing that once you’re in, you’re able to move around. Just hard to get in initially.
I have found it’s the exact opposite. Got in and it’s impossible to move around. Total catch 22 where you can’t get a role until you’ve successfully done it.
Have someone internal vouch for you. I interviewed from outside after getting my resume passed to the HM.
