Hello all 👋 I am third year college student looking for mentors in the field of product/program management. I am lacking someone to talk to about finding opportunities and how to grow as a student PM for internship and eventually full time opportunities. I appreciate any and all response, thanks in advance! ☺️ Student Georgia Institute of Technology Microsoft Accenture Amazon Google Salesforce Slack Facebook (Meta) Paypal LinkedIn Yelp Workday Visa Mastercard PwC
Hi all! Curious if any Americans here have had any experience applying for a temporary work/creative (or other non-company sponsored) visa and if creative ad work is considered eligible. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
I am doing UXR interviews, and although I read that a background in design isn’t necessary for UXR, I have been asked a few times now whether I have experience in design and can use design apps. I have applied research experience and a solid understanding of product development, which I think should land me a UXR role one day, but I’d to hear any thoughts though if you think design knowledge is necessary for UXR?
Anyone go from MBB/T2 to MBA school and do something OTHER than return to consulting / go for high finance? Curious what your return on making that decision is and if it’s ever worth going if you’re already in consulting. Seems like most non-Consulting or IB jobs you could just skip the MBA.
Has anyone started yet and gone through virtual orientation at MBB? Have mine in two weeks and think it’s going to be really difficult to get the same connections with other new hires that you’re supposed to build at regular orientation
Is it possible to move from mid-tier consulting to MBB? Coming from non-traditional background (but still plenty of experience plus tier 1 MBA) and feeling like I’ve got more to give.
So I got feedback from one of my interviews. I was accused of googling answers for the questions they asked. It has been bothering me a lot. How would you guys suggest I deal with it?
Anyone have a great CFP that works with folks remotely (I.e., via Skype or FaceTime) or in Boston? Looking to learn about the unknown, e.g., tax loss harvesting, 529s and other similar vehicles, etc
Resume/LinkedIn question: I am a senior student graduating in a couple of months. I am going to join Google this fall as a SWE. My previous work experience includes an internship at Google, and a summer spent working on open source (PostgreSQL) during Google Summer of Code. In addition to a lot of college coursework projects (CE major). Most of these projects are worth mentioning and they cover a diverse range of fields. At what point should I drop coursework projects from my Resume/LinkedIn?
has anyone gotten the job at MBB after waiting 3+ days post final round? experienced hire in US fwiw
When everyone is getting more than they’re full of Zoom meetings, what are some other ways to keep employees engaged, connected, and feeling like they’re part of something important?
I see many folks getting contacted by recruiters for roles at big companies (i.e FAANG, big 4, mbb etc). I never got those messages from recruiters on LinkedIn. What’s the secret to get recruiters reach out to you?
Working with a recruiting agency for exit opps. I got an interview for a manager position that typically requires 7 YOE, when I have 2+ YOE and should probably only be a Sr. associate. They saw my resume. Any thoughts on why they would want to interview me for the manager role?
Part of a monthly poker game of lawyers. Want to see if y’all have any suggestions for a virtual game using Zoom and a free poker app (no betting of real money online tho we can still bet IRL).
How’s this offer sound: lead product manager for series C healthcare startup, $220k base, 15% bonus, RSUs, $50k sign on bonus. Seems decent for a startup?
I now understand why people don’t trust for profit medical institutions. For the last few years my doctor has ordered the same biopsies and tests for me. This year she ordered an invasive surgery. I got my medical records and had my friend who is a nurse read the documents, & she didn’t understand why some of the tests were performed or why the surgery was recommended when 1) the tests came back low risk 2) she said it’s abnormal to do that procedure, they usually go a way less invasive route.
Hey everyone, I have a BSc degree from a semi-target university in the United Kingdom, and I currently have around 2 years of strategy consultancy experience at a Big 4 in one of Africa's most competitive economies. I'm looking to step into consulting in Dubai/ Abu Dhabi (MBB, Tier 2, boutiques, etc.). Any referrals? Thanks

Agency recruiters: what’s the real feeling on going from client-side to agency side? Does any client-side experience matter?
Cheetah print heels for an interview? Yay/nay?
Hello I’m in final round interviews with Visa for a role in talent program management. Advice is welcomed, but mostly need some good vibes!
Anyone from LEK nyc willing to connect / potentially refer? (3.5 YOE looking at AC role)
Asking for advice please. I’m making 57k as a Finance Coordinator (2 yrs). My work is a hybrid role: 1) Exec assistant for a C-Level exec, 2) Financial Analyst. I cannot become Analyst now due to an on-going visa application that is going to take about 1-1.5 years. I am very grateful that my company is willing to help me with my visa (around 10k) this year. But I am thinking about asking for 70-75k since living cost in LA is pretty high and sometimes my bank account can be negative. What to do?
Tired waiting for green card and thinking of going back to India. Should I apply for transfer or quit and join India office? Has anybody done this?
Hello! I'm trying to get a grasp of a good base salary and TC for the Chicago area. I'm a UX contractor being converted to full time and I received an offer for 100k base + 10% bonus. For context this is like a 30% increase from my salary as a contractor and the company isn't a tech company. I have about 2 years of general industry experience (web dev, web design, agency work) and 1 year of actual product design and finishing up a master's in HCI as well.. Is this reasonable?
I've gotten lazy this week. How do yall get back on the path and get motivated to get it done?
What do you guys use Dosh app for most? How do you earn max cash back points? I did not find it very interesting
Found out my sperm morphology is at 0% (high count, good motility though) and RE recommends we do IVF. Aetna will cover 80% after a $5k deductible. Waiting to hear costs from our RE. Any estimates for what we’ll be looking at after insurance?

What are the interview questions asked for a lead business analyst at legato healthcare? Is the company good enough? Anybody from legato?
Receiving any negative/constructive feedback scares the sh*t out of me. I had a toxic previous job experience with a manager who used any small thing as a means to scare me out of employment. Now at my new place of employment, if I do get a constructive comment or something to work on, a lot of anxious thoughts run through my mind until I can somehow calm down and go back to working somewhat productively again - but I always have that fear of being fired over it. 😔
