I work on a consulting team at a large software company. I’m a job hopper, around 2 years each at my first and second jobs and a little over a year at this job. I recently found out they’re shutting my team down. We’re not fired, but they’re transferring us to the core implementation team, which has a horrible reputation for malignancy, overworking, and isn’t at all what I was hired to do. How hard is it going to be to for me to find a new job? Should I just stay and try things out? What next?

Are there any great sustainability NGOs I could join and contribute after my day to day job? Would like to get involved. Any recommendations or ideas? btw: I am living in Seattle!

Plan to go to B-school in 3 years (1 year out of UG now). Long term goal is entrepreneurship. Have offers at a MBB firm for a generalist consultant role and at FAANG for a strategy role. FAANG offer is slightly higher (though both are a 50+% bump on my current comp). Both would have me reset to entry level. Which one should I take?

Evaluate these offers please:

Offer ONE “Principal Program Manager at Microsoft” Individual Contributor. 220K base, $120K sign on bonus, $300K On Hire Stock Award, 0-40% Annual Cash Award (Individual Performance based, 20% is typical), $0-160k Annual Stock Award (Individual Performance Based, $80K is typical).

Offer TWO “Deputy C-xxxxx”. Leading a team. mid sized company (20Bn annual Revenue , 38000 people) 230 base, 75k RSU, annual bonus 30% of base (Company performance)

Anyone witness slackers who got into companies you have no idea how? Had a coworker who does jack chit at work besides chatting on Facebook yet lands at a faang company? I guess if he brings the same work ethic he will be spit out for sure. Or maybe he just had no interest in doing project work.

MBB AP about to exit to non-FAANG tech. Would you expect a signing bonus and/or pre-determined severance pay if things don't work out with the new company? Anything else that people have negotiated during their exit? I'd be leaving a large amount of bonus on the table to leave before the end of the year.

4YOE @Amazon & trying to lateral to a similar role @FAANG. Have my undergrad GPA (3.8/4) on resume from top 15 school but colleague says to take it off (looks silly). If it’s a good school & high GPA, why ever take it off your resume? Even if 10 YOE...can’t hurt?
