I work at Cognizant. Don't have direct experience at the other firms, but have good friends at most of them. Here is what I can say about Cognizant:
Cognizant does do real management consulting work, but it is usually with lower level of senior leadership at big companies, or within the client IT organization and this is a relatively thin slice of the work. However, it is growing. My current client just made Cognizant their strategy partner after booting a B4. I have so far avoided having to work on any IT projects and work exclusively in that thin slice of true management consulting, but I feel like a little bit of an outsider not having an IT background. Most managers and directors are people who came from IT and then moved into consulting, and frankly, don't really understand management consulting - just IT consulting.
We do travel to client sites regularly in normal times. We don't have offices so you work from home on fridays. Some practices allow you to live in any city with an airport, which is nice instead of forcing you to live in a HCOL city.
The pay is probably a bit below B4 but WLB is good. I rarely work a full 40 hrs/week, especially during covid so my $/hr is much higher than what it would be at B4, MBB, or basically anywhere.
Reputation is definitely significantly lower than B4, but there's also an opportunity to stand out a lot more at Cognizant.
I personally like it, but don't love it. Would prefer to go somewhere that does more interesting work (which for me means higher level strategy work) and earn a little more even though I would work more. But it all depends on what you're looking for.
Hey OP, I came from Cognizant to Deloitte and would never go back or recommend, though I have tens of friends currently working there. All of my friends there are just waiting for their exits.

Why stay away
They completely ghosted me mid-interview process like 3 years ago. Would’ve been for a step up opportunity, which was the only reason I was interested - the people I interacted with (recruiters, interviewers) put off a weird vibe (acted like they didn’t know what Deloitte Consulting did, one interview was almost combative), so I told myself that I would only use an offer for leverage at Deloitte. I got through 3 interviews and the recruiter said they would get back to me about setting up a final round of in-person interviews in the coming days. About 2 weeks went by and I realized I’d heard nothing, so I followed up with the recruiter. They responded 2 weeks after that follow-up asking if I’d re-interview with someone because so much time had elapsed (no apologies for delays, rationale for delays, etc.). I responded laying out the facts (who I interviewed with, dates, dates of follow-ups and planned next steps), and the recruiter never responded.
Thankfully - I’ve since found another job and couldn’t be happier.
