What’s a good response to greatest weakness interview question?

Doing a remote interview tomorrow for an in-house position that I really want. Invite says "[company] is a startup, so a full suit is not necessary! Business casual attire is recommended." Like I said, I really want this job, and the idea of not wearing a suit is just weird to me

Should I still wear the suit or would it be counter productive?

Hi. I am so frustrated with how long it is taking to get hired. I feel crazy & sad. I am a 24 yr old- got my bachelors in 2020. Have worked as a temporary high school teacher, sub, videographer, and most recently sales rep. Was doing good there but got really screwed over with technical payment issues & workplace discrimination. At any rate, I want a stable real job. FTM. Having a really difficult relationship with my husband. We fight every day. We are both exhausted but things he does really bother me. He’s also depressed at the moment dealing with some family stuff, but that’s making him super unmotivated and undisciplined a lot. If you had to create a 5 stock portfolio for long term growth, which 5 would you pick?

If you’re an AUSA in a busy criminal district full of big law refugees (SDNY, NDIL, CDCA, etc.), how many hours a week do you work if you’re trying to get promoted? Is it big law hours? Is there at least some relief from big law type issues like fire drills? I can’t imagine there being the same type of white collar fire drills if you’re the one creating them for big lawyers. Generally happy with the cases I’m working on at my current firm and I love the other attorneys I work with and partners I work for (for the most part). Compensation would be the same. Mostly considering the move because things are so disorganized at my current firm and I end up pulling a ton of unnecessary all nighters, and I have virtually no administrative support.

Does anyone have experience being a JD/MBA student, and being hired on as a 2nd year after graduation for salary purposes? Or is that just a rumor?

Just wanted to share a tip for all of those who are looking to connect with former employees - there is a filter function at Linkedin which allows you to do so (and you can combine that with the filter on location - then you can almost always find at least 2-3 people you can reach out to and ask about the firm and practice group you are thinking of lateralling).

A firm approached me with an offer because I had worked with some partners who recently joined. They said it’s not really a “practice” of the firm to guarantee the bonus and that they want to properly incentivize people to hit hours… but I now have data from current associates and ones who had offers (including recently this past month) who received guarantees — nothing exceptional about their circumstances either.

How do I respectfully present that data in a counteroffer?

Any thoughts on how quick turnaround should be after first round interview? When’s a decent time to follow up?
