Hi,
I'm currently having an offer from BlueOptima and Cohesity and am conflicted between the two.
I have offers in the SDET profile.
Cohesity Inc is providing me MTS and @BlueOptima is providing SDET-1.
Glassdoor reviews more of less place the two companies almost equally, and the package being offered by the two is almost in the same range.
My preferences include:
Learning opportunities in the role.
Company's work environment.
Company's growth prospects, are also a consideration.

Anyone works at Goodwin? I've been
interested and applying in the last few
weeks, so far, I am intrigued. I'm currently
in the LA area, I'm planning to stay but l'm
open to relocating either SF or the New York offices as well. If any can connect to their
Recuritment or Talent Acquisition Team or
any references, information or
connections! Let me know! I can also be connected on LinkedIn as well!

I got full year end bonus to all my laterals… even a full $57K year-end and the person joined december 20th.
If it’s not making financial sense to leave your other EOY bonus, they’ll understand. I turned down an offer that wasn’t guaranteeing what I would receive from my current firm in total comp: the offeror then increased signing bonus but wasn’t matched to year-end.
Continental European here:
1) guaranteed EOY bonus is not standard in my market
2) we leave job positions up even when we have filled them and renew them even if we have candidates that we will likely take - you never know who quits or what happens
This will depend upon your qualifications and MB’s desperatness. So start with making a honest and candid assessment about your strengths and weaknesses as a Candido are.
I’d say it’s definitely possible but you might have to sign clawback provisions. In any case, you should try and negotiate for it because 80K + is a lot of money. I get that’s it’s MB and not STB or Sidley or whatever but MB needs talent just as much as everyone else and you gotta pay to get talent.
MB does a pro-rated bonus for mid year laterals. They also have a step-up bonus for high billing, and if your prorated hours would qualify you for a higher bonus, you get the higher rate (prorated). Eg, my first year at MB, I billed only 1900, but prorated it was the equivalent of a 2300 year, which put me at a higher tier. My EOY prorated bonus ended up being equal to a normal market bonus because of that.
