Anyone's company does summer Fridays? My company has "flex" summer Fridays where we can do the 40hrs from mon-thurs and take off Friday; curious to know how others do their Summer Fridays.

Lumen is team by team, I’ve worked for two VPs.. one did summer Fridays where we had “half day” Fridays from June/July (followed their kids summer vacation)

Basically “half day” just meant no meetings were scheduled Fridays after 12 😂

Other VP didn’t do summer Fridays but did do no meeting days pretty frequently and gave us team days off every quarter, like Nov 1 we’d have a “team day off” and our whole Dept would take the day off.

We do Summer Friday’s! Basically a half day on Friday, from now up until Labor Day weekend. It’s well received across the board.

‘flex summer hours’ are fitting 40 hours in and taking either Monday or Friday off. Personally, I don’t see this as a benefit (or perk) because you still have to get 40 hours in and us corporates have all been working flex to some extent since 2020.

Right! That’s why I chose to stick with 5 days. There’s not time for much after work with 10 hour days (unless you’re an early bird)

We do summer Fridays at Nestle Purina. Off at noon Fridays (a WFH day anyway) Memorial Day through Labor Day. No tracking, just get your work done. This is the first year we’re trying it. Needless to say, it’s been well received.

My company gives 3 bonus days of pto that you can only take during the summer months. So one free day per month between june and august

Are Coforge reviews fake on Glassdoor? Had a discussion with their HR today. He was telling Coforge is doubling in size and revenue in the next 2 years, we had the least attrition. You can do your research. Maybe Delhi Noida based companies, I really feel scared about. I think they will say anything to get a joining.

I've been working in my current org for 1.5 years. My whole team left the company except me. Now I have a brand new team & boss. He is reversing decisions that I have implemented and reinventing the wheel. Since day one, I am trying to explain to him why things work a certain way but he doesnt seem to trust me at all. He also hired someone who he worked in the past with and now they are taking their own decisions. Now, I see them reaching the same conclusion after months. Feel non-valued. WTD?
