Are there any CD’s out there that felt like they were happier in the ACD role? Even though some say it’s the hardest role I feel like it was more fulfilling. You get to manage and still do the work.

What I hate about being a CD is the lack of control. You can’t control how good the ideas are, you can make them better, yes, but you can’t determine the quality of the thinking because that’s on the teams that are working on briefs. If you’re stuck with teams that are just ok, as a CD, you just have to suck it up, or do the work yourself.

Nah, not saying that. You have to do what you can with the hand you’re dealt. Sometimes you have to step up and do the work, cause the teams working for aren’t bringing it. If I was a CD at W+K and had the best teams in the country, happy days. But no.
