Define your goal: lose weight OR create toned muscle or what? If lose weight, mostly fasted cardio for an extended period of time. If tone muscle, HIIT or weight lifting. Definitely do intermittent fasting or OMAD and one snack or no snacking. Cut out dairy, red meat, shitty foods, and any deserts for about 4-8 weeks. Then you can be normal again but desert at most 2x a month. Be mindful of calories but don’t count. And get a fitness watch to help you keep track of it all! Be determined and disciplined. The hardest part is getting started :)
What seems to help for me to kick start things...focus on nutrition first for 1-3 days. Healthy breakfast (oatmeal, toast (no butter), coffee), salad for lunch, light dinner.
Then go to gym but focus on cardio first. I prefer treadmill for a jog, but elliptical or bike works too. Just remember, even a crappy workout is better than no workout....it all counts. Then try to get into a rhythm where you go consistently.
I have been in these extreme travel situation. As A1 said, hiit, omad/IF are amazing especially when you don’t have much control on your routine
Sign up for a couple of classes. You’ll be forced to go as to not lose the money and it will give you the momentum you need to keep it going by yourself.
I actually find my nutrition follows after I get back into the groove of working out.
The hardest part is just starting - people make it into a big production but really just make the first move/change and work from there. True behavior change for something like getting back to exercise/eating right is most sustainable when you move incrementally, instead of all at once.
Starting small: go for a walk, take a class, spend 30 minutes at the gym, drink more water, add more veggies to your plate, eat fruit instead of a cake for dessert, try smaller portions of what you’re already eating
